Geneva, New York – February 25, 2013 – Geneva Night Out, a free art and culture event on the first Friday of each month in downtown Geneva, has added an ongoing Student Art Gallery to their artist roster for March 1st, 2013. The event runs from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, with local artists hosted by a variety of downtown businesses.
“We’re excited to begin the new tradition of spotlighting Geneva’s student artists in one of our downtown locations,” said Jim Meaney, lead facilitator of Geneva Night Out. “This month, students from the Geneva School District will have their work on display at the Headless Sullivan Theater at 427 Exchange Street, and we aim to enlist other local schools and youth art groups for our future Student Art Galleries.”
Free self-guided maps highlighting the evening’s activities are available at all participating venues and businesses, and on the Geneva Night Out website.
Geneva Night Out is an independent, grassroots coalition of area artists, business owners, merchants and residents working to highlight Geneva’s increasingly inviting and walkable downtown community.
Live music, poetry, photography, painting, dance, workshops, and special events are hosted at a variety of Geneva venues, while the event also spotlights the exceptional dining and nightlife provided by Geneva’s participating neighborhood cafes, restaurants, taverns and lounges.
